S:t Erik’s Jessica Heidrich and top chef Mattias Dahlgren have teamed up once again to produce this ecological porter brewed with ecological pale, dark crystal, Munich and chocolate malt. Traditional porters are often spiced with English Fuggles, but because organic Fuggles were impossible to find the brewing duo substituted it with Sovereign, which is said to have similar tones of grass and mint. “In Sweden we’ve brewed porter for almost 250 years and for many years its been the most popular beer style”, says Mathias. “Both Jessica Heidrich and I think porter is a very under-rated food beer which we’d really like to draw attention to”.
