News has just reached BeerSweden that the newly-started CAP BIBCBrozneAlesrewery has just picked up 3 medals in this year’s International Beer Challenge, including a Bronze in the Ales category for its Endless Vacation Pale Ale.

During his time as head brewer at Sigtuna Brygghus Mattias Hammenlind collected his fair share of awards but this is the first one he’s picked up since starting up the CAP Brewery in a colloboration with Swedish drinks importer Cask Sweden.

“I’m really, really happy to get this award as this is the beer I believe the most in right now” said Mattias when BeerSweden reached him on the phone in Oslo, where he is currently touring after gaining a big listing for the beer in the Norwegian monopoly later this year.

“I’ve been working on the recipe for quite some time to make it an easy drinking, balanced beer that goes well with a wide range of food”.

CAP also picked up two more bronze awards for its ‘I’m Curious’ series in the Design and Packaging category.

The IBC , now in its 17th year, attracts entries from 30 countries and aims to reward and promote excellence in beer.

“It’s always great to receive recognition for what you do”, said Mattias. “It’s my first award with CAP, but hopefully it won’t be my last!”
